Years ago, my husband and I adopted a dog from the Houston, Texas, S.P.C.A. who became the inspiration for my career in portraiture.  A strong desire to express my love and appreciation for her inner and outer beauty, led me to learn to paint so that I could experience the joy of expressing my admiration for her with my heart and hands. I created several paintings of her. My favorite is pictured here with our son's baby shoes.

  Because of Ali B., I entered into a 30+ year career of portraiture that later expanded to include portraits of people as well as animals. There will always be a special place in my heart for the wonderful pets who enhance our lives immeasurably, and who deserve to be honored with a portrait that captures their lovely spirits as well as their likenesses.

Interior design is one of my passions, and I love to work with my clients to ensure that each pet portrait is tailored to complement their décor.
